Card of the Card KINDNESS!

Today's card of the day from the Healing with the Fairies deck, is KINDNESS.
What a perfect card for this latest transit we are all in!
Whew.
Things have certainly been crazy, to say the least. At times it can feel like the world is falling apart. While it may SEEM that way, what is actually happening is more like a transformation! Things that no longer fit are being peeled away. Situations are changing rapidly to reflect what and where one should be. Does that sound familiar??
With all this change, and sometimes great loss, it is easy to lose sight of the big picture. Or the small picture.
Kindness helps us do both of those things. Remember that EVERYONE pretty much is in the same boat. We are all trying to just make it through and feel OK about it.
Remember to be kind to others, and especially kind to yourself. When we are kind, we see our connections, instead of our differences, and our strengths instead of our weaknesses.
Do something kind for yourself. Remember who you REALLY are, and let the impressions that you created about yourself through your past experiences fall away.
Do something kind for someone else, by holding the space for them to be who they are, and not a first impression or judgement that you may have had about them.
We are all very sensitive energetically. When you have a negative thought or word about yourself or someone else, it shrinks you.
So be big and be KIND today!

To Answer Your Question...A READER ASKS

Today's post is in reponse to a reader who asked...
"How can I lighten up? I'd like to live in the moment more and shut off a lot of the thinking and analyzing that I tend to do. I'm feeling too serious to properly greet spring."
What a great and timely question!!
I did a card draw, and intuned, and here is what I came up with:
A lot of us are feeling this way, and I will tell you YOU ARE NOT ALONE!!!
There is a real intense cycle astrologically now, until the end of the month. (I think Lillian has posted some on this? http://effectiveastrology.blogspot.com/ )
Currently, we are in an energy phase that really brings up old stuff, right in your face! This is happening to all of us, so its no wonder you may feel serious, and stuck in your head.
While this may feel like crap, the reality is that it is a brilliant opportunity to FINALLY be done with old old patterns. The universe is providing PLENTY of opportunities for your old patterns to emerge just so you can notice and let go.  This cycle is be both liberating and very challenging.
One way many people cope when they are faced with cycles with this intenstity is to leave your body, and live in your head: Thinking, worrying, analyzing.
The truth is, we survive moment by moment. So the more we can stay in the moment, in our bodies, the more chances we have to make better choices. You can get through anything moment by moment, it's only in thinking about it that we traumatize ourselves. The saying, "take the medicine, leave the pain" feels appropriate.
Our brains are tools, they are not meant to be in charge. Our spirit should be in the drivers seat. SO try to hear what your spirit is saying, maybe invite him or her to tea.
IF your brain is super active, try journaling as opposed to meditation. I find that when I am super busy in the head, writing a pages of whatever comes in your head (ala "The Artist's Way" morning pages) is  always helpful to clear the cobwebs.
In essence, this is a very productive and exciting time! The renewal of spring brings about powerful cycles of death and re birth. To be who we are we have to die a thousand deaths. Instead of being fearful, ask yourself, what is stalking you? What do you need to let go of to move forward?
Who are you beyond your chains?
To hear the answers requires a soul approach, and answer. Try quieting your mind and look for symbols (the language of the soul) or feelings (the language of the body) instead of words (the language of the mind)
Happy Spring to all!

ITS AN EASTER MIRACLE!

Today there is not a card of the day, as something extraordinary happened that I want to share. Let me begin with some background on my relationship with the universe.
When I was in college, I lived adjacent to a magic dumpster. I was always manifesting wonderful presents from the universe in this “magic” dumpster. I would, on a whim, go look inside and find things that MOST certainly were left there only for me. For example, I one day found a pair of brown leather pants, that fit me perfectly. If you know me, you know that this is most certainly a gift from the gods. Not only am I difficult to fit, but also I had always wanted a pair of leather pants! Other manifestations from that dumpster included a pet rat, alive, complete in a shoe box waiting to be my friend (the domestic kind) Again, a gift that I could truly appreciate, as I’ve always had a fondness for rodents.
This dumpster was as capable of evil as it was of good, however, and I also met with some unfortunate happenings by way of the magic dumpster.
Once, my un-shredded financial documents were stolen (this was in the pre internet days, luckily) and I found myself the victim of some check fraud. Another time, I threw out my art school cast offs in the dumpster, only to be haunted by them turning up in a local garage sale, and most wickedly, displayed in a neighborhood bar that I had frequented as WALL ART!
The message here, I suppose is that one girl’s trash is another’s lucky manifestation… or be careful what you wish for..Or throw away, or… I’m not sure. I was only in my early 20s; so I can t expect too much enlightenment.
The point of this is that I have been looking for another “magic” dumpster ever since then.
I’ve always been pretty good at manifesting, but today I ascended to a new high.
Lately, I’ve been telling my husband how I need new running shoes. We trying to conserve money, and so I have been reticent to spend 100$ on new shoes, but my feet protest.
Today, we discovered a barely used pair of Adidas running shoes IN OUR SHOE CUBBY by the front door. We were puzzled. whose shoes these could be? After running (no pun intended) through the list of usual suspects we determined it a mystery. Then it occurred to me! I had MANIFESTED these shoes! I knew I was powerful, but MAN!
A magic dumpster! In my OWN HOME!!! Ok, that’s not what I meant, but you get the idea.
And, if these are YOUR shoes, keep it to yourself. In the meantime, have a magical day!
